The 16th annual Atlantic Festival will be held at the District Wharf on Thursday, September 19, and Friday, September 20. This year’s festival boasts a stellar roster of newly announced speakers, promising thought-provoking conversations on a range of pressing issues.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is set to give an exclusive interview, offering insights into her historic role and the legal landscape of the country. Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi will share her experiences from the highest ranks of Congress, while JPMorgan Chase Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon will discuss the future of business and the global economy.

Also confirmed to take the stage are Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm, and Admiral Rachel Levine of the Department of Health and Human Services, who will speak on critical policy challenges in their respective fields. Joining them will be Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe, who is driving innovation in electric vehicles, and Google’s Responsible AI Head Tulsee Doshi, who will shed light on the ethics and future of artificial intelligence. This is just a glimpse of the unparalleled access to leaders across industries that The Atlantic Festival offers attendees.

Exclusive Screenings and Thought-Provoking Discussions

This year’s festival brings exclusive film and documentary premieres to The Wharf, adding a cinematic flair to the intellectual programming. On September 20th, attendees will have the unique opportunity to view “Lee”, a biographical drama about World War II Vogue photojournalist Elizabeth “Lee” Miller, portrayed by Academy Award-winner Kate Winslet. This riveting film explores Miller’s fearless journey documenting the war’s frontlines. Following the screening, the film’s director, Ellen Kuras, and select cast members will participate in a Q&A session, providing behind-the-scenes insights into the making of the film.

Earlier in the day, The Atlantic will stream the first part of “Social Studies”, a two-part FX documentary that delves into the online lives of teenagers, giving viewers an intimate look at how social media has fundamentally reshaped childhood and adolescence. These screenings are just one aspect of the diverse agenda, which also includes dynamic discussions on crucial societal topics. Attendees can engage in a dialogue on banned books, moderated by journalist Jemele Hill, and participate in summits focusing on climate action, small business resilience, and societal progress. Don’t miss an “Atlantic Reads” conversation with historian Timothy Snyder or the live taping of the popular *Radio Atlantic* podcast with host Hanna Rosin.
