Politics and Prose Bookstore
One of the most beloved hometown brands in D.C. is Politics and Prose Bookstore. While other bookstores faded away, P&P pressed on and has excelled in part thanks to its mission to cultivate community and strengthen the common good through books, programs, and respectful exchange of ideas. The expansion of P&P from its upper NW D.C. home to the SW waterfront is one of the moves that transitioned the Wharf from a development into a neighborhood. P&P has a wide variety of books, greeting cards, and journals. It also has a robust schedule of speakers not to be missed.
