Be a Star at Live K Karaoke!

Live K Karaoke is now open and ready for you to take the stage.

LIVE-K is designed with a sensational futuristic lighting style, using the pioneering concept of “Grand Scene, Grand Rendition”, featuring a 22-square meter LED mega-screen atmospheric lobby, 4 first-class theme rooms, and 11 modern entertainment rooms. The full-view ultra-clear LED projection screen, dazzling lighting design, and world-class audio equipment can immerse you in the realm of future entertainment.

According to the owner, Live K is the first true “Asian style” karaoke in the DC area, meaning that it will feature a series of private rooms, not just one big room for karaoke fun.

There are 15 private rooms and a large bar area with a “main stage.” The private rooms, which range in size, hold groups from 4 to 40 people where you can enjoy karaoke, food and drink. The rooms are be priced according to size. Each room has a two hour minimum, prices range from $68 to $268 per hour depending on the size of the room.

Inside Live K Karaoke patrons will find a futuristic Tron-like experience with neon light lined hallways. The private rooms include leather couches, vibrant sound and light systems, small tables with the illuminated LiveK logo, and music control center. Customers can request specific messages on the ceiling display board, which can be found in the larger rooms.

LiveK is the vision of veteran DC restaurateur, Chris Zhu, who also owns China Garden in Rockville, and Han Palace in Tysons Corner, Woodley Park and Barracks Row, is very excited to expand to the District Wharf. “The Wharf is the hottest spot now in DC, the foot traffic and the customers there are what our targets are,” Zhu told Wharf Life DC.

The menu features dim sum, BBQ and a full bar. Zhu says that she may include some menu items from China Garden and Han Palace. She is planning on happy hour specials.

Live K is located on Maine Ave. in the location formerly occupied by District Hardware.
