Water Taxi Service to Return to District Wharf

Beginning Friday, June 19, Water Taxi service will return to operation serving sightseers and commuters between the District Wharf and Georgetown, Alexandria, and National Harbor. The big yellow boats were supposed to be back in operation beginning March 1, but like most everything else, it was shuttered as a result of the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Roundtrip tickets cost $21 for adults, $19 for seniors, $15 for children between the ages of 2 to 11, infants can ride for free. Service from the Wharf starts at 7:30 am, the last departure is at 7:15 pm.

Season passes for unlimited rides on the taxi and sightseeing cruises are available for $225, 30-day unlimited passes are available for $90, two-day passes are available for $39, and single-day passes for $30.
