Milk Bar at The Wharf Cleared Out

In what can only be interpreted as an ominous sign, Milk Bar at The Wharf is completely cleared out and seems to have served its last cookie. Gone are the window signage, refrigerators, display cabinets, registers, and ice cream machines! According to Milk Bar’s website, the location is “temporarily closed.” The website says the City Centre location is also “temporarily closed” despite having recently lost its lease along with sister company, Momofuko.

If Milk Bar is indeed done at the Wharf, the loss will be felt among all fans of the sweet treats including Cereal Milk ice cream, the amazing birthday cake, and Milk Pie. It will also be another popular tenant that has turned away from the Wharf.

Wharf residents and visitors will have a number of sweet options to consider once the District’s stay at home order is canceled, including Praline Bakery, DC Doughnut, Dolcezza, and Ben & Jerry’s.
