Digital Marketing Manager
Creative Food Group (by Chef Nicholas Stefanelli of Michelin star Masseria) is seeking a Marketing and Digital Strategist to join our talented team part time that will turn into a full time position. This role will be responsible for managing all marketing across the restaurant group (Masseria and Officina). The position is designed to allow the right individual to utilize their strengths to grow the position. Position Summary The Marketing & Digital Strategist must be a polished up and comer who will serve as Brand Ambassador for the restaurant group on all our digital properties. The ideal candidate must have highly effective communication skills, be a self starter, driven, be responsible and tenacious, full of fresh ideas, and eager to work in the hospitality industry and is someone who thrives on being able to combine creativity and project management. They will be responsible for the execution of compelling marketing and communication strategies across the individual brands while adhering to the vision of the restaurant group. Tasks and Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To: Digital Marketing Create, Plan, Schedule, and Monitor social content, boost posts, and follow best practices to engage audiences. Curate a unique social media presence across platforms that consistently represents the unique personality and character of each brand. Be tech savvy and current with social media platforms. In the fast changing world of social, digital media, and food tech space it is imperative that both brands are utilizing the newest tools and strategies. Understand and execute best practices for digital advertising. Update websites on a weekly basis for news, menus, and other ad hoc updates as needed. Knowledge of writing for the web and for Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Responsible for weekly email campaigns Communications Will need to know how to write effective copy in many different styles (Social Media, Web, Media, and Consumer Facing) Align the marketing efforts with those of the PR team. Lead & or contribute to the development of marketing & or communication plans. Maintain refreshed boilerplate messaging throughout the year. This includes but is not limited to: biographies for each restaurant, biographies for key leaders in FOH and BOH, one sheets, media kits, and media journals Have you finger on the pulse of the news media, its trends, and industry community influencers Maintain a standardized practice of “concierge drop offs”, “thank you” messaging and gifts in our restaurants’ neighborhood and within the greater business, hospitality and tourism communities Events Support private event sales to reach financial goals through advertising, outreach, and marketing Offer general support for special events, special projects including ours, external business partnerships, and talent management. Promoting all event spaces within the restaurant group Support at Off Site Events as needed General Work with management and others to develop a larger marketing strategy and best practices. Understand and stay current with the hospitality industry and trending topics. Must stay abreast of what is happening in the constantly changing world of the hospitality industry. Put together monthly reporting for the website, social, and email marketing. Provide metrics driven recommendations. Might be required to work on the floor as needed to gain valuable experience in the restaurant’s brand. Candidates must be comfortable in restaurant operations. Requirements: BA BS required (concentration in Integrated Communications or Marketing preferred). 3 4 years total relevant professional experience in marketing Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience on social media platforms for businesses as well as email platforms like MailChimp or Emma. Indesign, Photoshop, and Photography skills are a PLUS Must be: Eager: To learn and grow with the position Flexible: Able to focus on marketing one moment and then customer service next. Good with Challenges: Stay on your toes and do your best to solve problems. Our customers are important and helping them is key. Figure out how to best communicate the brand’s message on different platforms, and sometimes might need to convey sensitive issues or deal with an upset customer. Proactive: By following up on what is needed and the ability to look ahead and anticipate the needs of the brands. Organized: There are different platforms to manage and how you communicate on each, determining audience, and measuring tactics all take the organization. Reliable: Being reliable and dependable in performing job related tasks, finishing assigned projects, meeting deadlines, and appointments. Interpersonal Skills: Even though you will be mostly engaging digitally it is important to provide a direct connection between the brand and the public. Being friendly and approachable online is imperative. Collaborative: You will be working with different staff members to it is important to build a good rapport with other team members.
